I-Mei Foods Overview
Established in 1934
I-MEI was founded as a traditional Taiwanese confectionery specializing in traditional pastries such as Chinese-style cakes, pineapple cakes, and mung bean cakes.
After World War II, I-MEI expanded into the dairy business, offering fresh milk and other dairy products from its own dairy farms. In the mid-1980s, I-MEI began supplying buns and dairy products to major fast-food chains, including McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, and MOS Burger.
